Who might save Paris capitale de la mode ?

Drama when it comes to collections. Especially when you find out no one lived up to last season's memory or better, expectations.
When people have said Marc jacobs took a "Comme des garçons" path with the sideline cuts and "half-dresses" in New york, the Apron dresses and multi fabric pieces came in as fresh air at Louis Vuitton. LV being what gave a glimpse of shimmer to Paris.
The trompe l'oeil tights with knee-high socks pattern is ingenuous and allows Marc jacobs to guide the trend line without going on the too-creative-unsoldable program.

As always, miu miu made it through with elegance, choosing non-opaque cheer-black tights and re-inventing the culotte from last season's.

Balenciaga presented a non-diversified but non the less bombesque collection. As always who might say Nicolas Ghesquière doesn't seal the deal with the short and bursting dressed. He manages to shape the figure like miu miu did last season without making models look fat, this time. The 3 pieces layering with gigantic flower motif is a clin d'oeil to the 80's with the shoulder padding and short cuts.
